Meet Your CPA

Sherita Kittrell, CPA is licensed in Maryland and Georgia, with over six years of experience as a tax accountant. Her background includes business tax services at a Big 4 accounting firm and corporate tax work at a Fortune 500 company, where she focused on tax compliance and tax credit savings.

She holds a BBA in Accounting from Howard University and a Master's in Taxation and Data & Analytics from the University of Mississippi.

That experience now goes to work for small business owners who deserve the same quality of thinking that large corporations pay a premium for.

Who We Work With

We work with service-based small businesses, freelancers, independent contractors, and S-corporations across Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. Most of our clients are owner-operators generating somewhere between six and seven figures who have outgrown doing their own books.

We're a strong fit if you want a CPA who explains the reasoning rather than just handing you a return, and who you can reach during the year instead of only in April.

Insightful Accounting Services is based between Laurel and Columbia, Maryland, serving small business owners throughout Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, and Montgomery County.

We work with clients remotely across Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. You don't need to be local as most of our work happens over video calls and secure document sharing.

Are you accepting new clients? Yes. We take on a limited number of new clients each quarter so that every engagement gets real attention. If our capacity is full, we'll tell you upfront rather than stretching thin.

How does pricing work? Flat monthly pricing for ongoing bookkeeping and accounting, and flat project pricing for tax preparation and one-time work like bookkeeping cleanup. You'll see the full cost in writing before you commit.

Do I need to be in Maryland? No. We serve clients across Maryland, Virginia, D.C., and Pennsylvania, and the entire relationship can be handled remotely.
